About TheSTEMSafari
Making foundational science, technology, engineering, and mathematics joyful, interactive, and universally accessible for every young learner.
Our Story & Purpose
TheSTEMSafari was founded by passionate STEM educators and software engineers who noticed a critical gap in early childhood and elementary classrooms: young students love interactive games, but existing digital tools are often buried behind complex district paywalls, require confusing passwords that young children forget, or collect intrusive student data.
We set out to create an open digital learning playground that loads in seconds on Chromebooks, iPads, and school computer labs with zero logins, zero accounts, and zero barriers. Every simulation and gamified lesson on TheSTEMSafari is engineered to turn abstract STEM concepts into intuitive, playful experiences.
Computational Thinking
Teaching algorithmic sequencing, loop repetition, debugging, and binary representations from Kindergarten through Grade 6.
Applied Physics & Circuits
Interactive breadboards and logic gate sandboxes that let children explore electricity and closed circuits safely.
Active Number Sense
Visual math puzzles utilizing ten-frames, algebraic balance beams, and coordinate geometry grids.
Cybersecurity & Netiquette
Age-appropriate scenarios teaching strong password entropy, phishing identification, and positive digital citizenship.
Rigorous Academic Alignment
Our curriculum modules are mapped directly to nationally accredited standards so classroom teachers can integrate our tools directly into existing lesson plans:
- Computer Science Teachers Association (CSTA): Core alignments with CSTA 1A-AP-08 (Sequencing), 1A-CS-01 (Computing Systems), and 1B-NI-05 (Cybersecurity & Passwords).
- Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS): Aligned with 4-PS3-2 (Energy & Electric Currents), 1-PS4-1 (Wave Motion), and 3-5-ETS1-2 (Engineering Problem Solving).
- Common Core State Standards in Mathematics (CCSS-M): Aligned with Operations and Algebraic Thinking (OA), Number and Operations in Base Ten (NBT), and Measurement & Data (MD).
Teacher & Student First Design
We believe that education must protect the child. That is why TheSTEMSafari operates under a strict Zero-Student-PII model. We do not track student identities, build behavioral profiles, or sell data. We are sustained by family-friendly, non-personalized contextual educational advertising in strict compliance with COPPA, FERPA, and Google's Child-Directed Treatment policies.
